A 15-pack of beer sounds promising, but…

At “Stream Pies,” we are serving up gooey loads of knowledge. Here, we’ll provide invaluable streaming advice on SPs who are owned in less than 30-percent of Yahoo! leagues. We list the options in order of best option to “least-best” option (with the strongest recommendations starting at the top).

For games played Friday, 6/24/11
Wade Davis @HOU
He won his last start vs. the Marlins (W, 6 IP, 1 ER, 6 Hs, 2 BBs, 2Ks), and is taking on a really weak National League lineup in the ‘Stros. Shit, until they put a better product on the field, the Astros will hertofore be known as the Stroh’s Lights. Quite possibly the worst beer ever made, Stroh’s Light is so bad, they sell 15-packs of it in the hopes that it’s enough to coax (or, trick) you into buying it.

But yes, I really do like Wade Davis and did not mention him solely as a public service announcement against Stroh’s Lights.

Phil Coke vs. ARI
Speaking of things that suck from Detroit, Phil Coke sucks. The side effects of doing Coke were evident after I pegged him as a solid spot SP against the Rockies (in Colorado no less). Four runs and seven walks later, I swore this would be the last time I’d ever do Coke.

Alas, here we go again. How do I know Coke will be better this time around? Aside from the fact that the D-backs are loaded with lefties, I’m using the super-scientific “Good Start/Bad Start, Good Start/Bad Start” theory as that has been the trend of his last four starts. The science of this theory is too complex to explain, so rather than try, I’ll simply link you to this lowbrow “Hot Girls Montage.”

“Stream Pies” Recommendation Results for 2011
