At “Stream Pies,” we are serving up gooey loads of knowledge. Here, we’ll provide invaluable streaming advice on kickers and DEFs who are owned in less than 30-percent of Yahoo! leagues. We list the options in order of best to “least-best” option (with the strongest recommendations starting at the top). We also include last week’s suggestions and full season results. Points are based on default Yahoo! settings.

For the second straight week, my kickers came through while one of my defenses came up with a negative point performance. After Nick Foles blew through the Raiders defense like a sneeze through a dollar-store tissue, my defensive recommendation totals took another hit. Shit happens. Yet on “Stream Pies,” we know better than to let a couple of poor weeks bring us down. As we enter Week 10, the stakes are higher as fantasy teams are positioning for post-season berths. You need me more than ever, and like I told your mom via text last night, I promise I’ll cum through.

Team Defense (DEF) Recommendations

Week Ten Recommendations
1 – New York Giants vs. OAK
Quietly, New York’s defense has been coming together. Sure they’ve thrown up some poor performances this season, but they still have enough playmakers on the defensive side of the ball to be a very fruitful fantasy option. Over the last two weeks, they’ve allowed just 14 total points. Granted, one of those games came against the Vikings, but that doesn’t mean that their defense hasn’t stepped it up as of late. Antrel Rolle has turned into a solid ball-hawk this year and has helped this defense adapt since their line has not been getting the kind of QB pressure the organization is used to. At home facing a Raiders team that will be running out a banged-up Terrelle Pryor, the Giants have an excellent opportunity to string together their third straight win. In the first two wins, the defense took it upon itself to lead this team while the offense continues to suck. Expect more of the same this week.

2 – Miami Dolphins @TB
Miami’s defense has been playing much better of late and they draw a nice matchup for Monday night against the dysfunctional Bucs. Over their last four games, the Fins have averaged 3.5 sacks and two turnovers per contest (they also have a pair of defensive TDs). Part of the reason for the recent success is the fact that Miami’s defense is finally starting to get healthy after injuries ravaged them early in the year. Sure there is plenty of controversy surrounding Miami thanks to “Bully-gate,” but there’s no reason to expect anything other than a fine fantasy performance from their defense this week.
