At “Stream Pies,” we are serving up gooey loads of knowledge. Here, we’ll provide invaluable streaming advice on kickers and DEFs who are owned in less than 30-percent of Yahoo! leagues. We list the options in order of best to “least-best” option (with the strongest recommendations starting at the top). We also include last week’s suggestions and full season results. Points are based on default Yahoo! settings.

Both defensive recommendations scored TDs last week as the “Stream Pies” average continues to inch upward. This week, the pickings were slim for DEFs, but we still managed to scrounge up a couple of sneaky plays who can help you best your opponents this week. You’re welcome.

Team Defense (DEF) Recommendations

Week 12 Recommendations
1 – New York Jets @BAL
The Jets have been up and down all year, notching zero back-to-back winning or losing efforts. They completely tanked last week in a very winnable matchup against Buffalo, just one game after beating the Saints. Fortunately for them, the stars are aligned for a big performance against the Ravens. Baltimore’s offense has been inept all season, showing some random flashes of life, before ultimately stalling worse than your grandfather’s beat-up Chevy. The offensive line, in particular, could be overwhelmed in this one. While the Ravens’ O-line play has certainly improved lately, they are still an inconsistent unit who should get beat up by the Jets’ strong defensive line. On top of that, you have two former Ravens (Rex Ryan and Ed Reed) with a plethora of useful knowledge at their disposal. Even though it’s a road game, I fully expect this to be one of the best defensive fantasy days of the season for the Jets.

2 – Pittsburgh Steelers @CLE
This has been one of the worst fantasy seasons in recent memory for the Steelers defense, but they should harken back to the glory days in this one. The reason? Jason Campbell. Dude threw three ugly picks in last week’s loss to Cincinnati and is facing a Steelers D that is actually playing the pass really well. Sure RB Chris Ogbonnaya may rack up the yards in this one, but I like Pittsburgh’s odds of generating enough turnovers and sacks to make them a worthy stream in Week 12.
