At “Stream Pies,” we are serving up gooey loads of knowledge. Here, we’ll provide invaluable streaming advice on kickers and DEFs who are owned in less than 30-percent of Yahoo! leagues. We list the options in order of best to “least-best” option (with the strongest recommendations starting at the top). We also include last week’s suggestions and full season results. Points are based on default Yahoo! settings (with 0.5 points-per-reception).

Though the Jets came up small (scoring just one point), the Browns held it down yet again, providing a smooth 13 points in Week Four. As for the kickers? Nick Novak came up with a 13 point effort, while Rob Bironas didn’t embarrass himself with an eight point performance. Historically on “Stream Pies,” we tend to get better as the season goes on as it becomes easier to know what to expect from certain teams. So the fact that we’re already off to a pretty good start just means things are only looking up from here.

Getcha stream on bitches.

Team Defense (DEF) Recommendations

Week Five Recommendations
1 – Miami Dolphins vs. BAL

The Saints went all Ike Turner on the Dolphins in Week Four, but Miami draws a much easier opponent at home this week. The Ravens simply aren’t an impressive offense. Joe Flacco has struggled this season and the Ravens’ run game has been virtually non-existent. I don’t think the Dolphins are a legit break out team, but I do think they’ll get up for this matchup against the defending Super Bowl champions. Look for Miami to get pressure on Baltimore’s makeshift offensive line and put up a fine fantasy performance.

2 – Buffalo Bills @CLE

The Bills are flying under the radar as a defensive unit. They’ve generated 11 turnovers and 12 sacks in four games, and take on a stoppable Browns offense. Granted, Cleveland’s offense (particularly the passing game) looks pretty competent with Brian Hoyer under center, but he’s still leading an offense with limited weapons.

3 – Atlanta Falcons vs. NYJ

Long an underwhelming fantasy unit, the Falcons are the type of DEF you have to pick your spots with. Fortunately, the last time I picked them, they notched a pick-six against St. Louis in a solid outing. This week, they draw the turnover-happy Geno Smith and the Jets at home (where Atlanta always plays much better). I don’t expect Atlanta to necessarily play great on defense, but I do think Smith will gift-wrap some points for them.
