For a good Tynes call…

At “Stream Pies,” we are serving up gooey loads of knowledge. Here, we’ll provide invaluable streaming advice on kickers and DEFs who are owned in less than 30-percent of Yahoo! leagues. We list the options in order of best option to “least-best” option (with the strongest recommendations starting at the top).We also include last week’s suggestions and full season results. Points are based on default Yahoo! settings.

The first week of NFL action is the hardest to predict. Teams that looked horrible in the preseason suddenly come to life, players with high expectations fall violently down to Earth, and fantasy football title hopes become crushed like a bag of cocaine at Charlie Sheen’s crib. Yet Week One for “Stream Pies” wasn’t too shabby. Even with Robert Griffin III going off on New Orleans (one of our defensive picks), the Saints still managed to block a kick and turn it into a TD, preventing themselves from being a total embarrassment. Our plucked from obscurity kickers also came up big, with both options combining for 27 points. Sure our DEFs could’ve been a lot better, but that will pick up as the season moves along. All in all, a pretty solid opener, and there’s a lot more where that came from.

Team Defense (DEF) Recommendations
Week Two Recommendations
1 – Oakland Raiders @MIA
Ryan Tannehill sucks. Davone Bess is their no. 1 WR. Really the only good thing about the Dolphins offense is Reggie Bush. This is a beautiful matchup for any team. The Raiders also have the personnel on their return team to turn kickoffs and punts into scores. The Dolphins? They have Ryan Tannehill (who sucks by the way).

2 – Washington Redskins @STL
The ‘Skins were able to get a ton of pressure on Drew Brees last week, and they should have little trouble wreaking havoc on Sam Bradford and the Rams’ leaky offensive line.

Week One Results (Points calculated with Yahoo! default settings)
Minnesota Vikings: 23 points allowed, two sacks, fumble recovery, blocked kick = six points
New Orleans: 40 points allowed, sack, blocked kick, TD = five points

Kicker Recommendations
Week Two Recommendations
1 – Blair Walsh @IND
Playing in a dome is always nice for kickers, and the Vikings should get themselves in field goal range often against the Colts.

2- Billy Cundiff @STL
The Rams were able to keep the Lions out of the end zone more often than not, but they aren’t a good enough defense to prevent teams from moving the ball against them. In other words, they are the perfect team to stream against. It also helps that Cundiff showed good distance on his kicks last week.

3 – Lawrence Tynes vs. TB
Tampa Bay played great against Cam Newton and the Panthers in Week One. The Giants will put up more points than Carolina did, but they will have to settle for a few field goals in this one as this contest will be closer than people think.

Week One Results (Points calculated with Yahoo! default settings)
Steven Hauschka: 11 points
Justin Tucker: 16 points

Average for top ranked K in Y! scoring: 18 points per game (Billy Cundiff)
